Two atolls in the middle of the Sulu Sea, about 150 km south-east of Puerto Princesa, protected as a no-take marine park and UNESCO World Heritage Site. Liveaboards can only visit from about mid-March to mid-June, when the sea is calm enough to cross. Walls drop steeply from the reef top and draw sharks, turtles and schools of pelagic fish.

For scuba diving it weighs surface waves, surface wind and rain. Epic is 85–100 (worth flying for), Good is 65–84 (worth a short hop), Fair is 50–64 (rideable), Poor is 0–49 (skip). Scuba Diving is partly tracked: forecasts don't include underwater visibility, current and water temperature, so the score tops out at 84 and is never Epic.
Fly into PPS (Puerto Princesa, Puerto Princesa International). The flight link on this page opens Aviasales with dates set to the next good spell. Any price shown comes from recent Aviasales searches, not a live quote.
Underwater visibility, current, and water temperature are not measured; the score reflects surface conditions only. Swell is modeled for the nearest open-water cell, which can be rougher than a sheltered dive site. Marine notices and operator restrictions are not scored. Always check local conditions before you go.
